It has been a busy spinning week! And of course I had to work to (so inconvenient…). In the first week of the Tour de Fleece I have spun quite a bit. I have been spinning my two Nunoco Cobweb rovings.
The first three spindles were already full before the Tour started, and the fourth one had a thin coat. The rest of this has all been done in the past week.
I have also started spinning one of the swap fibres, on my wheel. I’m almost halfway, I think. The yarn looks nice! The silk that is part of the batt is not blended in completely, so from time to time I have a bit of white popping out. After this I will spin the other 50 grams, in the Silky Slippers colourway.
Today I spun quite a bit on my new Glasspin. I’m getting there, I think there is about 30 grams of fibre left to spin (of the 200 grams I started with).
Today I also went to have lunch at sea, together with my husband. It was so nice! The weather was perfect, not too hot or too cold, and sunny. We ate pancakes with a view of the sea as a side.
Many flowers are blooming there at the moment, and the combination and contrast with the sea is so beautiful!
I also painted a postcard, just for fun. I was playing with colours and colour combinations, and trying layering effects.
