Today I decided to paint one more bird: a nuthatch. I painted it with my Schmincke paints, but I had to get used to the colours. I seem to be quite familiar with the Winsor & Newton colours that I have already, and mixing took some effort. In the end the bird turned out too dark because I had some trouble with the belly. But it does look like a nuthatch.
