Yes, I’m still knitting, despite all the drawing. I even finished something last week: the Pogona shawlette by Stephen West. In gorgeous Madelinetosh yarn. I bought the skein at Woool on the afternoon after some friends and I got a colour analysis. These are “my” colours: muted, cool and not too light.
For a while, this project was my on-the-go project, because it’s quite easy to knit, but that meant that it just didn’t get finished. It always just took a little while to get back into the rhythm, time I didn’t want to spend on that, but on chatting with my friends for example. So, the project stayed in the bag.
I finally decided to just finish it. Then I found out that I had no idea where in the pattern I was. I didn’t want to think about it too much, so I frogged the entire shawlette! Which was fortunate, because it allowed me to find out that there were some weak spots in the yarn: perhaps a moth larva got to it, or my cat… I took out the bad bits and cast on again.
It took me just about a week of knitting in the evenings to finish it. The shawlette is a bit short, but it’s pretty, and it might go well under my coat this autumn.
Lovely soft colors!
