On Ravelry, I discovered a very special group a couple of months ago. It’s called the Harry Potter Knitting/Crochet House Cup. And yes, it is what it seems to be: a knitting/crochet oriented Hogwarts. Basically, you become a member, you get sorted into one of the houses, and then you compete as a House to win the House Cup.
When I found the group, the “spring term” had already started, so I had to wait for September to be officially sorted. I did however participate a little bit as a NQFY (Not Quite First Year), to see what it was like. It was quite nice, and so I applied to be sorted in the end of August… and got sorted into Ravenclaw! Yeah!
Now I could also become a member of The Tower (a group specifically pointed at Ravenclaws), and collect points for my House. The cardigan I made in the past week was a homework project for Charms class, in which we had to make something to protect us from extreme weather… I handed it in yesterday, and am waiting for my points…
Next, I will make something for my Ancient Runes class: a hat, which I am designing myself. Some positive runes are incorporated as lace patterns, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it will turn out.
