In the last couple of weeks, I’ve finished some projects again. One of them is an improvised design I might write down at some point. It’s a little capelet, called Papillon, and it’s kind of adorable…
I also created a new design, which is available on Ravelry. It’s a shawl called Vrouw Holle, composed of a combination of diverse techniques, like cables, twisted stitches, nupps and more. It’s not as hard as it looks. I made a second one in a thinner yarn, and that works well too.
I also knitted other people’s designs. One of them is the pattern Nuvem, especially created to use up one whole skein of Wollmeise Lace. I used the colourway Fliederbusch (WD) and the result is stunning. I love it! It’s thin, but warm, and light. The colour is perfect. And it’s huge.
Once, I crocheted a dog, but I had never knitted a toy until now. I made a Jacobus, and the monkey Jaap will go to my nephew Seb. I will also attempt to make another one for my cousin Jonathan.
