Thanks to my mother-in-law, I’ve recently been infected by… no, not the Mexican flu, but… knitting fever! The “r” is back in the month, and somewhere in my brain a button is pressed that I need to produce warm woolly thingies…
After crocheting scarfs for years (that was the only thing I could do), I decided to develop myself in the noble art of knitting this year. That’s why I ordered some stuff at the nice web shop hobbydoos.nl (great title if you have a female owner…), to help me get started. Amongst others, a circular needle.
With an old ball of yarn I cast on some stitches as a test, and knitted in the round. When I advanced a bit further, the thing I was making started looking like a hat, so that’s what I made. Not bad, if I say so myself, even though it’s too small…
Now I felt that I could do some more advanced work, so I started making a sock on five bamboo needles! Very exciting, but with the help from the pattern it kind of works. As soon as it’s finished I’ll show it off here!
